Hodes Veterinary Group has great team of professionals to bring you the best possible care. Clients are always well-informed on the suggested care or course of treatment. We provide veterinary literature and handouts when necessary so that our clients feel equipped and ready to care for their pet. We have a state of the art veterinary facility which is clean, comfortable, and efficient. Once a year, you should take your pet in for a check-up. One of our veterinarians will check the overall health of your pet from head to tail.

Medical Records

Bring any records with you, if you are a new client, if your pet visited another veterinarian, or if your pet received treatment from an emergency clinic since your last appointment. Ask your previous veterinarian to transfer your pet's records a few weeks before your appointment to make sure we have them prior to your arrival. If this is your first visit, please fill out the new patient form prior to your visit and bring it with you.

Ask About STOOL Samples

When making your appointment, ask if you need to bring a stool sample with you when you visit. All we need is a small stool sample placed in a ziploc bag.

Use a leash or carrier

Please keep your pet on a leash or in a crate or carrier when coming in for an appointment. The smells, sights and sounds can be overwhelming for an animal. Keeping them on a leash or in a carrier will protect them as well as everyone around them.

Note Recent Changes

Make sure to let any staff or veterinarian know of anything outside of your pets normal behavior. The more information we have, the better we can help and understand the needs of your pet.

Keep note of:

  • Changes in bathroom habits
  • Water intake
  • Overall Behavior
  • Physical signs. (Lumps, bumps, vomiting)
  • Change of Appetite
  • Weight

Prescription food & Medications

Save time by calling ahead when ordering or refilling your prescription food or medication. This way we can have it ready for you at the front desk when you come to pick it up.
