Appointments & Answering Service
Even though we have set hours of operation, our receptionists and staff will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime including after hours. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us. It is always best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.
We do NOT have an answering service. If you should require medical advice after hours, phone calls will be answered by Dr. Hodes or the doctor on call. They will be more than happy to assist you in deciding if your pet needs immediate medical attention.
Emergency & Urgent Care
We have trained veterinarians and staff available 7 days a week who are equipped to handle any urgent or emergency needs. Emergencies can be things such as poisoning, swallowing a foreign body or a car accident. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible, it is best to call on your way to our hospital so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.
We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarians will work to accommodate you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.
we are an Open Hospital
We operate an open hospital. This means that our team welcomes owners to be with their animals during their appointments.
We are not allowed to treat wildlife (wild rabbit, hurt birds), but can always suggest an alternate solution.
Payment is expected when services are rendered. In general we do not bill.
We accept cash, debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover) and Care Credit. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card. If the card is not signed, you must show two forms of ID.
When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expense strikes as well. Hodes Veterinary Group understands this and is able to make some special arrangements through the CareCredit program. It takes just 5 minutes to complete an application and will allow you to break down your payment into 6 monthly installments. You can either apply at our hospital, where we'll call in your application over the phone for immediate approval, or you can apply online at www.CareCredit.com
Highlights of the CareCredit program:
- Interest Free For 6 Months
- Determine Approval in a Few Minutes
- No Annual Fee
We offer discounted services to senior citizens, local area rescue groups (firemen, policemen), & military. If you have a financial challenge, please make us aware. We will try to accommodate.
