We feel that neutering your pet is not only important for population control, but will help to prevent medical conditions that can become somewhat costly as your dog or cat ages. Because of the importance of this surgical procedure, we hope to make it affordable to ALL pet owners. All of our spay/neuter fees include a physical exam on the day of surgery.
Our surgical fees include the physical exam, pre-operative medications (if needed), anesthesia, surgical monitoring, pain medication, the surgery itself and any post surgical re-exams (if needed).
We are also a participating clinic in the New Jersey State Neuter/Spay Program, which can be of great benefit if you have adopted your pet from a participating shelter/pound or receiving public assistance. If you do not qualify for the State Program, and you have special financial needs, please contact us 973-328-7112.
Extended Stay & Medical Boarding
Extended Stay Boarding
It is best to arrange your pets stay with us at least 1 week in advance. However, we of course will try to accommodate your schedule in an emergency situation. We are not an in and out facility. Dogs are walked 3-4 times every day.
We are not a 24 hour facility, however we cater to the specific needs of each patient and provide daily medical assessments as well as administering medication and overall monitoring and care. Pets with chronic medical conditions or those receiving ongoing treatments require a full range of medical services. You can have peace of mind knowing that your pet is receiving continuous care and medical attention. If your pet requires 24 hour care, we will suggest an alternative option.
When boarding youR pet, please remember to bring these items:
- Any specific instructions that will help us care for your pet
- Medications in their original bottles
- Let us know if your pet is on a specific diet regimen so that we can let you know if you need to bring food or if it can be provided.
We supply all boarding patients with food and water as well as comfy bedding. To prevent any items from being misplaced, please do not bring any items from home.
In 1980, Dr. Hodes started his practice by doing house calls throughout the Morris County area and continues to do so today. Although we are limited as to what we can do for your pet in the home environment, please don't hesitate to call us if you require a home visit for wellness exams, vaccines or have multiple animals that need care (including large animals).
We always have a doctor on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If you have a pet-related emergency, call us at 973-328-7112.
