Throughout his career, Dr. Hodes has been the veterinary service provider for the Morris County Sheriff's Department K9 Unit and the Morris County Park Police Mounted Unit.  From 1995-2002, he served as a member of the Rockaway Township Board of Education.  For the last 20 years, Dr. Hodes has been a guest lecturer on "Pets and Babies" (for new parents-to-be) at St. Clare's Hospital (Denville, NJ) and Hackettstown Hospital (Hackettstown, NJ).  (More information concerning these seminars can be obtained from the various hospitals.)

Beyond the world of veterinary medicine, Dr. Hodes enjoys traveling west to Kansas State University to attend an occasional K-State football game and participate in various committees.  In between work and community service activities, he still finds some time to "work out" at the gym and expand his photographic skills.
